Christmas Card Competition

As your MP I send out a lot of Christmas cards to leaders, local people and even the King, and I'd love my card to be designed by a child from our area.

I'm very excited to launch my 2024 Christmas Card Competition for primary school-aged children in the constituency of Exmouth and Exeter East.

The competition is open to all children up to the age of 11 and the winner’s design will be featured on the front of the card.

All types of creative designs are welcome but please do avoid using glitter, as it doesn't come out well at the printers!

1. All entries must be submitted no later than 5pm on Friday 15th November
2024.  They should be sent to David Reed MP, House of Commons, London,
SW1A 0AA.

2. The winner and runners-up will be notified no later than Friday 29th November
2024. The designs will also be published on David Reed MP’s website.

3. All entries should fit with the theme of: ‘My Favourite Christmas Tradition’.

4. All entries must be on unfolded A4 paper and submitted by post.

5. All entries must have the name, age and school of the entrant on the reverse.

6. Entries must be submitted by the school.

7. It is at the discretion of the school whether they submit all entries to David
Reed MP, or whether they select a shortlist themselves to submit.

8. This competition is open to all children attending primary school in Exmouth
and Exeter East.

9. Originals sadly cannot be returned.

10. Entry is limited to one per child.

11. By submitting an entry to the competition, participants agree that their artwork
can be used as the Christmas card for the Member of Parliament for Exmouth and
Exeter East, David Reed, and that it can be reproduced in local media and local
literature, both political and Parliamentary.

12. David Reed MP’s decision regarding winning entries is final and no
correspondence will be entered into disputing the result.

13. The winning pupil will be invited along with their parents or guardians to have
a tour of Parliament by David Reed MP and refreshments.

14. The winner and runners-up will also receive a small House of Commons gift.

The deadline for entries to be received is Friday 15th November 2024.
